How do I show two estimates in the same place?

Overview

When two or more active estimates use the same built-in position on a page, for example Below buy button on a product page, only one of them shows. To show both, set both estimates to Manual Position and add one Estimated Delivery Block for each of them in the theme editor. You also choose their order.

Steps

1. Set both estimates to Manual Position

Do this for each of the two estimates:

  1. Open Estimated Delivery, click the estimate name, then click Placement.
  2. Under Page to display, select Manual Position.
  3. Click Save at the top of the page.
  4. Copy the ID with the copy icon. Keep both IDs at hand.

2. Add two Estimated Delivery Blocks in the theme editor

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize.
  2. Open the page where you want the estimates, for example a product page.
  3. In the section where you want the estimates, for example the product information section, click Add block (or Add section to put the estimates in their own section), open the Apps tab, then select Estimated Delivery Block.
  4. Add a second Estimated Delivery Block the same way.

3. Connect each block to an estimate

  1. Click the first block and paste the ID of the first estimate into Estimated Delivery ID.
  2. Click the second block and paste the ID of the second estimate.
  3. Drag the blocks into the place and order you want. The estimates show in the same order as the blocks.
  4. Click Save in the theme editor.

Both estimates now show, one after the other. A block shows its estimate only when the estimate uses Manual Position and is Active.

Which estimate shows in a built-in position

If you keep the estimates in the same built-in position, the app shows only one. It picks the estimate that targets the fewest products (Specific products, then Collections, then All products except, then the other targets, then Home Page only, then Every Page). Between estimates at the same level, the higher Priority wins, then the newest estimate. See How to manage your delivery estimates.
