The timing of your review request emails is crucial for capturing high-quality feedback. Sending requests too early can frustrate customers, while waiting too long may cause you to miss out on the initial excitement that drives positive reviews.

Key factors to consider when timing your emails:

  • Delivery Timing: Ensure your emails align with when customers receive their products.
  • Product Experience: Allow enough time for customers to use and evaluate the product.
  • Customer Experience Timeframe: Estimate how long customers need to form an opinion about the product.

Xboost Reviews sends one review request email per order, covering all products included in that purchase.

Notes:

  • Any changes to your email timing settings take effect immediately. All unscheduled orders will follow the updated schedule.
  • If different products are fulfilled on separate days, review requests will be sent individually based on each product’s fulfillment date.

Setting up your review request email timing

To configure the timing for your review request emails:

  1. In the Xboost Reviews admin, navigate to the Collect Reviews settings section and select Review request timing
  2. Choose your preferred timeframe from the dropdown menu in Send review request section

You can set the email timing to send between 1 to 30 days after:

  • The customer’s order.
  • Fulfillment of the customer’s order.
  • Delivery of the package.

For requests to send emails in less than 1 day, please contact our Support team.

Note: Emails are sent during the customer’s local work hours to increase the likelihood of them being opened.

Configuring fallback timing

You can configure Fallback Timing to ensure a review request email is sent even if the shipment_status field is not updated through Shopify. This acts as a backup, so if delivery tracking fails, your customers will still receive a review request based on the fallback schedule.

  1. In the Xboost Reviews admin, navigate to the Collect Reviews settings section and select Review request timing
  2. Set your preferred timing for Fallback timing

Setting up Auto send reminder

You can set up an Auto send reminder to automatically follow up with customers who haven’t submitted a review after the initial request. This feature helps maximize the chances of gathering feedback by sending a gentle reminder.

To set up Auto send reminder:

  1. Go to the Collect Reviews section in the Settings
  2. Hover over Auto send reminder and customize the timing option to activate it.

The reminder will automatically be sent X days after the initial review request if no review has been received.
