Managing Reviews

Effectively managing reviews is key to showcasing the best feedback on your store and boosting your brand’s reputation. Xboost Reviews offers robust tools to help you edit and curate reviews before they appear on your online store. Here’s how to use these features to enhance your store’s credibility and appeal.

Familiarize yourself with review status terms

From the Xboost dashboard, click on Manage Reviews. From this tab, you can:

1. View All Reviews for your store by clicking All Reviews.
2. See reviews for individual products by selecting Products.
3. Share reviews across multiple products by grouping them together using Product Groups.
4. Search and check the email delivery status of your orders by clicking Orders.

In the All Reviews section, you can see various review status terms:

• Published: Reviews that are visible on your storefront.
• Unpublished: Reviews that are not visible on the storefront.
• Pending: Reviews that await your approval before they become visible.

Managing new reviews

Each time a new review is submitted for your products, Xboost will send a notification email to your inbox. This email will include the review’s content, any images or videos, and manage the review.

Auto-publishing new reviews

This setting allows new reviews from your online store and review request emails to be published automatically.

To change your Auto publish review setting:

1. From the Xboost dashboard, select Settings on the left sidebar.
2. On the Settings page, choose Manage new reviews.
3. Toggle to activate/deactivate auto-publishing for new reviews.
4. Select your preferred Auto-publish new reviews setting.
   

To manually publish a review:

1. In the Manage Reviews section, select All Reviews, locate the review you want to publish.
2. Open the dropdown menu and click Publish.
   

Bulk publishing review

Bulk publishing reviews allows you to efficiently publish multiple reviews at once, saving time and ensuring that your customers can see all the valuable feedback in one go. Follow these steps to bulk publish reviews in Xboost Reviews.

To bulk publish multiple reviews:

1. In Manage Reviews, select All Reviews, filter and select the reviews you would like to publish.
   
2. Select the Bulk Actions dropdown menu, and click Publish
   

Search and filter

Use this feature to search for reviews or apply filters based on product name, customer name/email, review rating, review type. This filtering function helps merchants quickly find reviews in the Manage Reviews section.

Click the Search icon to filter reviews by:

• Quick Search: You can enter relevant keywords into the search bar to quickly locate specific reviews.
• Review status: Search reviews in Published, Pending, Unpublished status.
• Review ratings: Filter by review ratings. Select reviews from All ratings, 5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars and 1 star.
• Review types: Filter your search to show reviews with media, Featured Reviews, Web Reviews, Import Reviews and Request Reviews.

Reply to reviews

Use this feature to respond to customer reviews, express appreciation, and address any issues, thereby enhancing engagement and building trust in your store.

In All Reviews, locate the review you want to respond to.

Click Reply

Your responses will also be displayed in the Product Review Widget:

To respond to a review privately, click on the reviewer’s name. This action will open your default email client, allowing you to reply directly to the customer via email.

Featured reviews

Tag selected reviews as “featured” to highlight them for each of your products.

Featured reviews will be prioritized and appear at the top of the Product Review Widget displayed on your product pages.

To feature a review in your Product Review Widget:

1. In All Reviews, locate the review you want to feature.
2. Click on the More actions dropdown menu and select Tag as featured.
   

To untag a review as “Featured”:

1. In All Reviews, find the review you want to adjust.
2. Click on the More actions dropdown menu and select Remove as featured.

Technical information:

• Featured reviews will be displayed on the Product Review Widget in the sequence they were tagged as Featured following their chronological order.
• You can feature an unlimited number of reviews for each of your store’s products.
